"TS Saline Agar (Triple Sugar Saline Iron Agar) is a dehydrated culture medium used for the identification of Vibrio species, especially Vibrio parahaemolyticus. It contains three sugars (glucose, lactose, and sucrose), sodium chloride, and ferric ammonium citrate.

Applications:

Identification of Vibrio species, especially Vibrio parahaemolyticus
Differentiation of microorganisms on the basis of dextrose, lactose, and sucrose fermentation and hydrogen sulfide production
Used in food microbiology to test for the presence of Vibrio parahaemolyticus, a foodborne pathogen that can cause diarrhea and vomiting"
